Just Like the Movies

DreamWorks is filming a movie on my street, and my building is actually in it. The movie's working title is "If Only It Were True" directed by Mark Waters.

The interior of my apartment has an eerie glow this evening; the entire alleyway outside is all lit up because it's temporarily been transformed into a movie set. It was a bit surreal to have my street look like something out of an Alfred Hitchcock film. However, to be honest, I wish it was like that all the time. It's amazing how lighting can take this alley - something I see every day - and turn it into a noir dreamworld.

So tonight, I am going to bed in a place that literally looks like something right out of the movies - surreally lit - and Reese Witherspoon running around right outside my bedroom window.

I guess this is another one of those "only in San Francisco" things.

1) So if you were to say, go hang on your fire escape while they were filming, would they shoo you away and tell you that you're messing up their shot? I hated having to do that when I worked for a film company.

2) Are we going to see any pics of Reese?

Can't you kind sneak a cameo of yourself into the movie? Just sorta stick your head out the window just a bit while film is rolling? Let us know which scene you're in! Tue 23-Nov-2004 15:57
